Parki is operated by Wireframe Marketing LLC ("Parki," "we," "us"). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Parki platform to pay for parking.

By using Parki, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• License plate number (typed or extracted from photo)
• Email address (if provided for receipts)
• Payment information (processed by Square — we never store card numbers)
• Phone number (if provided for reminders)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device location data (GPS coordinates, used to verify you are at the parking lot)
• Device information (browser type, operating system, screen resolution)
• IP address
• Photographs of your license plate
• Session timestamps and duration

2.3 Information from Third Parties

• Payment processing data from Square (transaction ID, payment status, last four digits of card)

3. How We Use Your Information

• Process parking payments
• Verify your location at the parking lot
• Provide parking session confirmations and receipts
• Enforce parking time limits (sharing active session data with lot owners/enforcement)
• Resolve payment disputes (using evidence bundles: plate photo, GPS data, timestamps)
• Improve our services and user experience
• Comply with legal obligations
• Communicate service updates (only if you provide an email/phone)

4. Evidence Collection and Dispute Resolution

• We collect plate photographs, GPS coordinates, and timestamps as part of every parking session.
• This evidence is used to verify legitimate parking sessions and respond to payment disputes.
• Evidence bundles may be shared with payment processors (Square) during dispute resolution.
• Evidence is retained for two (2) years from the session date, then deleted.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share information with:

• Parking lot owners/operators: Active session data (plate number, session times, payment status) for enforcement purposes.
• Square (payment processor): Payment information necessary to process transactions. Square's privacy policy governs their use of this data.
• Cloud infrastructure providers: Data is stored on self-hosted servers in the United States.
• Law enforcement: When required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order).
• In a dispute: Evidence bundles are shared with Square and the disputing party as part of chargeback/dispute proceedings.

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal information
• Share your data with advertisers
• Use your data for profiling or targeted advertising
• Track your location outside of the parking session flow

• Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Opt-out of communications: Unsubscribe from any emails at any time.

8. Location Data

• We request your device's GPS location when you begin a parking session.
• This data is used solely to verify you are at the correct parking lot.
• Location data is collected once per session (not continuous tracking).
• You may deny location access; the parking session will still work but will be flagged as "location unverified."
• We do not track your movements before or after the parking session.

9. Cookies and Tracking

• We use essential cookies only (session management, CSRF protection).
• We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
• We may use privacy-respecting analytics (e.g., Plausible, Umami) to understand page usage.

10. Security

• Payment information is processed by Square and never touches our servers (PCI SAQ-A compliant).
• Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest.
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel.
• We conduct regular security reviews.

11. Children's Privacy

Parki is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. State Privacy Law Considerations

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your data, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Residents of other states with consumer privacy laws (Utah, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia) may have similar rights. To exercise your rights under any state privacy law, email privacy@parki.app.

13. Changes to This Policy

• We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made.
• Material changes will be communicated via the Parki website.
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
